Amendment VII:

"In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law."


This amendment is based on the right to have a jury at trail; people appointed from around the community to help decide whether or not you are guilty.


I chose this picture because it sums it all up. You see in the picture an attorney standing in front of a jury looking to be asking them questions.
